Tree Handling Worker

As a Tree Handling Worker, you will be responsible for preparing trees for lifting and loading. You will attach lifting fabric or protective straps around the trunks of trees and secure them to the crane so they can be lifted and moved safely.

You will work closely with a mobile crane operator, assisting during lifting operations and making sure trees are handled carefully. Good communication and attention to safety are important, as you will help guide the process of moving and loading trees onto trucks.

In addition to preparing trees for lifting, you will help move trees around the nursery and keep the working environment clean and organized. You will mainly work outdoors as part of a team, performing practical and physically active tasks throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Preparing trees for lifting and loading
• Attaching lifting fabric or protective straps around tree trunks
• Securing lifting materials to the crane
• Assisting the mobile crane operator during lifting operations
• Communicating with colleagues to ensure trees are moved safely
• Helping load trees onto trucks
• Moving and handling trees around the nursery
• Following safety procedures when working near lifting equipment
• Keeping the workplace clean, safe and organized

About the role

You will be part of a team responsible for preparing, moving and loading trees using a mobile crane. Your regular working hours are Monday to Friday, from 07:00 to 16:00. You will mainly work outdoors in a practical environment where teamwork, communication and safety are important. This position is suitable for someone who enjoys physical work and prefers an active job rather than sitting indoors.
