Machine Operator – Perlite & Vermiculite Processing

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Machine Operator for a production company in Rhenen. The work focuses on processing and packaging perlite and vermiculite — lightweight raw materials used in horticulture, construction and industrial applications.

You will work indoors in a structured production facility. The environment can be dusty, but is fully safe and equipped with proper protective gear. This role suits someone who enjoys hands-on work and is comfortable working in a 3-shift system.

• Morning Shift: 06:00 – 14:00 → 100%
• Afternoon Shift: 14:00 – 22:00 → 112%
• Night Shift: 22:00 – 06:00 → 137.5% 
• Hourly Wage: Starting from €14.71/hour (excluding shift allowances)

Responsibilities

• Operating machines used for processing and packaging materials
• Adjusting machine settings when needed
• Monitoring product quality and consistency
• Performing visual checks and basic measurements
• Carrying out basic inspections and minor maintenance
• Loading raw materials into machines
• Packing, labeling and preparing products for shipment
• Following safety procedures at all times
• Reporting issues or irregularities to your supervisor

About the role

You will work indoors at a production facility in Rhenen. The job is physical and practical, with clear tasks and a steady daily routine. You work in a rotating 3-shift system and use protective equipment when working in dusty areas.

What we ask from you

• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment
• Comfortable working in dusty conditions (PPE provided)
• Physically fit and hands-on
• Technical understanding and attention to detail
• Willing to work in a 3-shift system
• English level: minimum B1
• Forklift license required
• Driving license is a plus
