Machine Operator – Perlite & Vermiculite Processing

As a Machine Operator, you will play an important role in the production process of lightweight industrial materials used in horticulture, construction, and industrial applications. You will operate machines used for expanding, crushing, and packaging materials while ensuring the production process runs safely and efficiently. Besides operating the machines, you will also monitor product quality, perform routine checks, and support packaging and logistics tasks.

This is a physically active and technical position in a specialized production environment. The work takes place indoors and can be dusty, but all necessary protective equipment is provided. You will work together with experienced colleagues in a structured production facility where teamwork, safety, and responsibility are highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Operating machines used for production and packaging processes
• Adjusting machine settings according to production requirements
• Monitoring product quality and performing visual inspections
• Performing routine checks and minor maintenance tasks
• Identifying and reporting technical issues
• Loading raw materials into production machines
• Supporting packaging and shipment preparation
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
• Logging production and maintenance activities

About the role

You will work in a technical production facility in Rhenen where industrial materials are processed and packaged. The role combines machine operation, technical awareness, and physical work in a stable full-time position. This position is ideal for someone with experience in production who enjoys working in a hands-on technical environment and is comfortable working in rotating shifts. Full protective equipment is provided, and motivated employees have the opportunity to grow within the company.

Working hours

• Monday to Friday
• 37.5 hours per week
• 3 rotating shifts

Shift schedule & allowances

• 06:00 – 14:00 → 100%
• 14:00 – 22:00 → 112%
• 22:00 – 06:00 → 137.5%

What we ask from you

• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment is required
• You are comfortable working in dusty conditions
• You have technical awareness and attention to detail
• You are physically fit and motivated
• You are willing to work in a 3-shift system
• English level B1 minimum
• Driving license is preferred but not required
